LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Anderson Co. standout and Kentucky commit Amiya Jenkins was named 2022 Miss Kentucky Basketball Sunday.
Bowling Green standout and Eastern Kentucky commit Turner Buttry is 2022 Kentucky Mr. Basketball.
Buttry is the first EKU commit to be named Mr. Kentucky Basketball since 1980.
Jenkins averaged 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 4.1 steals per game this past season and helped lead the Lady Bearcats to their third straight Sweet 16 appearance.
Buttry averaged 23.3 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game for the Purples, leading them to a 4th Region Championship appearance before falling to State runner-up Warren Central
