FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — Eddie James has decided to stay at Franklin Co. to be its football coach after announcing last week that he would take the job at Highlands high school.
The story was first reported by State Journal Sports on Tuesday.
James responded to LEX 18 via text saying "A lot of people won't understand it but my heart is at peace [with the decision] and I believe in the work we're doing here and what we're building."
Highlands high school also released a statement on his decision:

In his four seasons at Franklin Co., James has led the Flyers to a 35-12 record.
