LEXINGTON, Ky- With their offense nonexistent today, Male won the small ball battle in route to taking down Clay County 2-1 in 8 innings. Male would go on to beat Warren East 6-1 in the State Championship game.
Male tied up Clay County in the fourth inning with a runner stealing home. They then went on to win the game in the eighth inning without even sending a ball out of the infield. A bunt with an error, a bunt single and then a wild pitch allowed Male to survive the scare.
