MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State was no match for its rival, Marshall, as the Thundering Herd rolled 89-62 on the Eagles home floor.
If there was a bright spot, it was the play of Djimon Henson who scored 23 on a season-best 5-for-9 from the floor, and a career high 11-of-14 from the free throw line. Jordan Walker added 15 points for the Eagles.
Marshall jumped out to a commanding 45-28 lead at the half thanks to some hot shooting from behind the three point line. The Herd was 10-27 from behind the line for the game and had a 30-12 advantage in points from behind the three point line.
Morehead State returns to action on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles will take on Ohio at 1 p.m. ET in Athens, Ohio at the Convocation Center.
