GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Georgetown College football team had its season come to an end Saturday after a 21-7 loss to Concordia in the opening round of the NAIA Football Playoffs.
The Tigers avoided its first shutout since 2015 after scoring a touchdown with 55 seconds left.
GC had trouble getting anything going offensively, totaling just 239 yards on the afternoon.
Concordia had 323 total yards, doing most of its damage through the air with 221 passing yards from Peter Morrison, who also tossed 3 touchdowns.
His leading receiver was Luke Wilson, who had 10 catches for 104 yards and a touchdown.
Georgetown finishes the season with a 6-2 record. This was the program's first NAIA Playoff appearance since 2017.
