GEORGETOWN, Ky. (LEX 18) — Georgetown College defeated Midway University 76-70 on Monday night in the first college basketball game played since March 8 this year due to the pandemic.
Jake Ohmer led all scorer's with 20 points, while Michael Turay finished with 14 points and Brodrick Jones finished with 12 points.
Donnie Miller led the way for the Eagles with 17 points. DJ Lujan finished with 16 points and Krizell Mitchell finished with 13 points.
The victory is also career number 250 for Georgetown head coach Chris Briggs. His all-time record is 250-61.
The Tigers are back in action Friday at 7:30 p.m. when they host West Virginia Tech in the Central Bank Jim Reid Classic.
