Kentucky women's soccer, volleyball schedules released

LEXINGTON, Ky. (UK Athletics) — The Southeastern Conference announced the fall schedules for both volleyball and women’s soccer on Wednesday, marking an important next step in the University of Kentucky’s return to athletic competition.

On August 27, the SEC office in conjunction with the SEC Medical Task Force and conference athletic directors announced the new format for volleyball and women’s soccer for 2020-2021 with the NCAA Championships potentially being moved to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The 2020 SEC volleyball season will consist of an eight-match, conference-only schedule over six weeks of competition beginning October 16 with each school facing four opponents twice in the same weekend on back-to-back days.

2020 Kentucky Volleyball schedule:

Friday, Oct. 16 vs. Tennessee 7 p.m. ET
Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Tennessee TBA
Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Missouri 9 p.m. ET
Thursday, Oct. 29 at Missouri 9 p.m. ET
Saturday, Nov. 7 vs. Auburn TBA
Sunday, Nov. 8 vs. Auburn 4 p.m. ET
Thursday, Nov. 12 at Miss. St. 7 p.m. ET
Friday, Nov. 13 at Miss. St. 7 p.m. ET

The 2020 SEC soccer season will consist of an eight-match, conference-only regular season over eight weeks of competition beginning September 18, followed by the SEC Championship, November 13-22, in Orange Beach, Alabama. All 14 schools will compete in the SEC Championship with each team guaranteed at least two matches.

Memorial Coliseum and the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex attendance capacity, ticketing, parking and safety protocols will be released as it becomes available. That information will also be subject to change due to state and local government and University regulations.
