LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — There are a few slots remaining for the LEX 18 Viewer Volunteer Day with the Habitat for Humanity house.
Mona Ashby was chosen to be the Habitat for Humanity homeowner. LEX 18 and CHI St. Joseph Health are sponsoring Ashby's home.
Ashby puts in hours of Sweat Equity as a homeowner, but volunteers also help build the house. On August 10, LEX 18 viewers are encouraged to volunteer to help out.
Habitat for Humanity says that they are in the final phase of construction and volunteers will most likely be working on interior painting, finish work, and landscaping. Specific tasks and expected duties are subject to change.
They start at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. You can sign up here.
