SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Scott County boy has been named "Top Elf" in the finale of the Nickelodeon TV show that aired on Saturday night.

12-year-old Cameron Fulton was cast in the show where he's competing against seven other kids.

He said the show is about building and making art, and he's had the chance to show off his woodworking skills.

Cameron told LEX 18 that he was discovered by a casting agency, which came across his Instagram profile.

"A lot of people are like 'I want to be a surgeon' because they make a lot of money. I'm like, 'I want to be a woodworker' because it's fun," said Cameron.

During the show he's had to build things like a giant Christmas card and a gingerbread house.

In the finale on Saturday night, he had to build Santa's sleigh, and he managed to impress Mr. and Mrs Claus.

Cameron was named the winner of the show, which meant he got to donate $25,000 to the charity of his choice.

He said the money will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of his mom and grandfather.
