That stubborn upper low that swamped the Commonwealth with torrential rain the last couple of days is still hanging around but has drifted south into Tennessee. It will sling scattered showers and storms our way Thursday and Friday as it weakens and edges out of here heading into the weekend. Any additional heavy rain will exacerbate the ongoing flooding we're dealing with... mainly creek, stream & river flooding. A flash flood watch remains in effect for eastern counties until Friday morning. We'll see a more summery pattern take hold Memorial Day weekend with a daily chance for a few showers & storms and highs back in the 80s.
