Ricky Sayer most recently spent time working at WBNG-TV, the CBS affiliate in Binghamton, NY. While at WBNG-TV, he covered the months-long court battle that decided the fate of the country’s last undecided congressional race.
His hometown is Lower Merion, Pennsylvania which is in the Philadelphia suburbs. He graduated from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a minor in Political Science.
While in college Ricky dedicated much of his time to the largest and oldest student-run TV station in the country, Citrus TV. He was the programming director for 2 consecutive years and held every position in the station’s news department from reporter and executive producer to assistant news director.
Having lived in upstate NY for nearly 5 years, he truly enjoys the large snowfalls. He also enjoys watching Philly and Syracuse sports, traveling, and enjoying the great outdoors and trying out new restaurants in his free time. His favorite thing about Lexington so far is being able to see the beautiful horses everyday which he attributes his fondness of them to his mom.
