If your kids love cruising the driveway with their own personal vehicle, there’s a new toy that will make their outdoor adventures even more fun.
Radio Flyer, the maker of the iconic little red wagon, has teamed up with car company Tesla, Inc. to launch the very first Tesla for the youngest of drivers.
The new My First Model Y is made for children 1.5-4 years old, with a weight capacity of 43 pounds. The ride-on toy features the design of Tesla’s full-size Model Y vehicle and comes equipped with a honking horn, an ergonomic seat for comfort, black induction wheels and a working steering wheel.
It is not motorized, so your child will use their legs to move the vehicle. The best part? It’s just $99!
While not available until mid-October, you can pre-order it from Amazon or directly from Radio Flyer’s website.
This is the second product that Radio Flyer and Tesla, Inc. have partnered on, as they released a Tesla Model S for Kids kids aged 3-8 in 2016. Using lithium-ion battery technology, this one comes in four colors and is motorized, with a top speed of 6 miles per hour.
It is available on Radio Flyer’s website for a starting price of $499. For a bit more, you can also add a car cover, customized license plate and a parking sign so your young Tesla fan always knows where to park the car when they’re done driving.
While teaming up with Tesla is relatively new for Radio Flyer, the company has been making outdoor toys for more than 100 years. From wagons and tricycles to scooters and ride-ons, they have a variety of other products to choose from as well.
If you like to keep things simple, their My 1st Wagon should do the trick. For kids ages 1.5 and up, it holds 35 pounds and is $24.99. They also make bigger wagons like the 3-in-1 Off-Road EZ Fold Wagon, which holds up to 150 pounds and costs $119.99.
If you want to stick with the powered vehicles, but prefer something a bit cheaper, Radio Flyer also has a Grow With Me Racer for ages 2-5 which is just $159.99. It can be controlled by kids with a working steering wheel or parents with a remote and has a rechargeable battery.
Walmart also sells a variety of kids’ vehicles, including a children’s version of the Audi TT RS for $255.67 and a 6-volt Toyota Tundra ride-on toy for $149.
Do your kids love cars? If so, these will keep them moving!
