Rachel Richardson grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC majoring in Mass Communication and Broadcast Journalism. She comes to LEX 18 from CN2 News in Rock Hill, SC.
Some of the stories that Rachel told at CN2 News included coverage of former NFL player Phillip Adams who was posthumously diagnosed with CTE after causing a horrific murder suicide involving a prominent doctor, his family and others. Rachel also covered riots in Rock Hill after the wrongful arrest of a young black man.
Rachel takes great pride in serving and giving back to her community and looks forward to reporting the viewers of LEX 18 and the Central Kentucky community. In her free time, she enjoys art and painting. She is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and is affiliated with the National Association of Black Journalists.
