If you have plans to attend a trunk-or-treat event this year or your trick-or-treating plans have simply changed due to the coronavirus pandemic, Party City is selling themed trunk-or-treat kits to make decorating easy and fun.
With themed kits from movies like “Frozen” and “Trolls” to superheroes like Spider-Man and more, you’ll have everything you need to decorate your vehicle and have a socially-distanced and safe Halloween.
Take a look at the four kits currently offered from Party City:
‘Frozen 2’ Trunk-or-Treat Decorating Kit
This “Frozen 2” trunk-or-treat kit is $64.99 and comes with a “Believe” balloon banner, multiple other balloons and streamers, serving bowls, a table decorating kit and photo booth props, including a balloon Anna, Elsa and Olaf.
Pumpkin Fun Trunk-or-Treat Decorating Kit
If you like your Halloween decorations classic and cute, the pumpkin fun decorating kit comes with tons of balloons, including the word “boo,” and multiple ghosts and pumpkins. It also includes cutouts, a serving bowl and other decor. It is $74.99.
Spider-Man Trunk-or-Treat Decorating Kit
The lowest-priced kit on the list, Spider-Man is $54.99. It comes with red and blue balloons, plus a giant Spider-Man balloon to perch atop your trunk. You’ll also get a posable furry spider, webbing and a pendant banner.
“Trolls World Tour” Trunk-or-Treat Decorating Kit
For “Trolls” fans, this kit is full of balloons in nine different colors that you can form into a balloon rainbow, a giant flower Poppy balloon and tassel decorations. It is the most expensive kit at $79.99.
You can find trunk-or-treating kits from other stores and websites as well. Oriental Trading has numerous kits, including Dr. Seuss, Jurassic Park, Baby Shark and more. They’re more expensive than Party City’s kits — they start at $175 — but they’re also quite elaborate and include large props.
You can also buy individual decorations from both Party City and Oriental Trading and follow their decorating ideas. Party City has decorations and ideas for trunk-or-treat themes ranging from pirates to a creepy carnival and the Nightmare Before Christmas, while Oriental Trading’s ideas include Harry Potter, Candy Land and Hocus Pocus.
If you’d rather keep things simple and on the cheaper side, you can even skip expensive decorations and go for just balloons. Both Party City and Oriental Trading sell individual balloons, as does Meri Meri, which has a Halloween balloon garland and foil bat balloon pack if you’re into classic Halloween decor.
Of course, regardless of if you buy a kit or make your own, you’ll also need candy. Have no fear — there are plenty of new treats this season! From Reese’s inspired by Frankenstein, Kit Kats for witch fans, new “vampire” Hershey Kisses, your tastebuds are sure to be satisfied this Halloween.
