LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — At a time when essentially nothing seems convenient, a corner convenience store has never been more convenient.
"We are a wholesale and retail operation," Estepp's Retail Operations Manager Michael Rich said.
Estepp's is open for business and has six locations in Lexington and surrounding areas. The convenience stores are adapting to the change of pace the coronavirus outbreak has brought in everyone's lives.
"We've had to cut some hours because business is down," Rich noted. "People still come in because we serve fresh food. They still need groceries and still need their snacks and everything that people are used to."
Business is also slow at the gas pump because fewer people are leaving their homes. However, Estepp's is still cleaning around the clock.
"We sanitize the gas pumps regularly," Rich said. "We're very customer and community driven. We all live here. Not only are these our customers, these are our friends."
At the end of each day, Rich is thankful they are still able to offer service to their neighborhoods during this time.
