On Friday afternoon, teachers and staff from Lexington Traditional Magnet School had a creative way to see their students in person.
A parade was held throughout the school's neighborhood where 27 total cars went up and down the streets to say hello from a safe distance.
"We wanted to show our students that even though we had to be a part, we're still together and we still care about you and love you," said LTMS teacher Julie Adler. "We wanted to show that we're there for them even if we can't physically be there for them."
"We just wanted to see their faces," said LTMS teacher Maggie Payne. "It's been two weeks and we know how much we miss them. We've been doing google meets and zooms, but that's just not the same so to be able to see them and make sure they're okay and show how much we care about them."
