Amendment 1 passes in Kentucky, citizen requirement for voting

(LEX 18) — Amendment 1 has passed in Kentucky, meaning the state's constitution will be changed to say that "no person who is not a citizen of the United States shall be allowed to vote" in Kentucky's election.

According to election results, around 62.4% of Kentuckians voted "yes" on Amendment 1, while 37.6% voted "no."
