LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Authorities have identified a man found shot to death Sunday morning on Lexington's north side.
The Fayette County Coroner's office said 51-year-old Carroll Martin died about 1 p.m. Sunday of gunshot wounds.
Police were called out Sunday around 9:15 a.m. to the 700 block of Florence Avenue, where they found Martina with multiple gunshot wounds.
Officials said several people tried to help the victim until emergency responders arrived on the scene.
Witnesses described the possible suspect as a man with a beard. We're told the shooter was seen running toward Douglas Avenue. Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact police.
