In July, DISH Network blacked out LEX 18 after the satellite provider and The E.W. Scripps Company were unable to reach an agreement.
Since launching its first television stations in 1947 in Cleveland, Scripps had never experienced a station blackout with any cable or satellite provider. Scripps has owned WLEX since May of 2019.
