The Versailles Police Department confirmed that a pedestrian was hit and killed in a crash overnight on US-60 in Woodford County.
According to police, they received a call just before 4:00 a.m. on Thursday regarding a vehicle collision.
Police say the pedestrian was walking in the area when the vehicle struck them, and they were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, according to police.

The Woodford County Coroner's Office confirmed that a person died following an overnight investigation on US-60.
The Woodford Emergency Management Director told LEX 18 that a pedestrian was hit near Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery but did not confirm if it was the person who died.

A Woodford Alerts Facebook page report says that US-60 W in Woodford County was closed for several hours overnight Thursday for a "law enforcement investigation."
According to the post, the investigation was near the Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The roadway has since opened up.
