LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Most agree, a bathroom stall is a private place no matter where the bathroom is located.

A teen found that was not quite the case at Fayette Mall on June 6.

"Back in June we had a teenage victim report that he was using the restroom when he heard a rustling noise. He then realized that there was someone who had pointed his cell phone into the bathroom stall and realized that someone was either taking videos or photos with that cell phone," said Lexington Police Public Information Officer Brenna Angel.

The teenage victim told police he then chased after the man into a nearby Michael Kors store.

"It certainly is alarming that you think this could happen a public place. Any type of situation where you have someone that's using cell phone to look at you in a private moment," Angel expressed.

After months without locating the man caught on tape, Lexington Police ask anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance video to call them or submit information on LexIDme.com.
