Coroner: 29-year-old man identified in Locust Avenue homicide

LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Fayette County Coroner identified 29-year-old Malcolm Long as the man who died in a homicide on Locust Avenue.

Lexington police say they responded to a call Tuesday of a subject down on Locust Avenue. Once officers arrived, they found Long suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lexington Police Department is investigating the death as a homicide.

LPD asks residents in the area to check home surveillance video and contact the Lexington Police Department if they have any footage that could help in the investigation.
