(LEX 18) — A Michigan man who fled to Franklin County while wanted on a murder charge in his home state has been sentenced to three years in prison for other crimes he committed.
Martez Ford was arrested as he was shopping at a Frankfort gas station back in May.
US Marshals said he is charged with premeditated murder in Detroit, Michigan.
Last Friday, Ford pleaded guilty to multiple Class D felonies.
He had been wanted for killing a man in Detroit and setting his body on fire to destroy the evidence. A joint sting operation between local and federal authorities caught up to him in Franklin County.
