LEWIS COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man is in jail after allegedly engaging in a standoff with police.
Police say they responded to a Tollesboro home to investigate a domestic violence complain last night around 5 p.m.
After arriving on the scene, 41-year-old Adrian Hord brandished a gun which prompted police to open fire at him. Officers say Hord then went inside a garage and refused to come out. Hord stayed in communication with police until he finally surrendered at about 11 p.m.
Hord was charged with attempted murder of a police officer and wanton endangerment of a police officer.
