Congrats to @gtown_football coach Bill Cronin on earning his 200th career victory! He's just the 93rd college football coach in the nation to achieve that milestone. @GCAthletics pic.twitter.com/WYMCSGVWGF
Georgetown College football coach, Bill Cronin, earned his 200th career victory Saturday after the Tigers defeated St. Andrews 41-34 at Toyota Stadium.
"It's good to get it off my back," said Cronin after the game.
"I'd be lying if I said I hadn't been thinking about it, for a couple of years actually. You hate to count numbers and I really hadn't been concentrating on it too much but it's nice to get that monkey off of our back. I appreciate the kids, I appreciate all of the former coaches, administrators of Georgetown College which created a good atmosphere for us here in Georgetown. Whoever thought that 20 years later we'd have this opportunity to win 200 games? It still hasn't soaked in, I don't know what that's all about yet."
Cronin has a career record of 200-58 in his 23 years as the Tigers head coach.
