LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Lexington woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer following an incident last night.
Marlena Gower, 34, was arrested after police responded to a report of a burglary on Village Drive.
As police approached the address, Gower ran in front of their car. When police placed Gower under arrest, she allegedly began kicking and spitting at the officers. It was determined Gower was intoxicated during the incident.
Gower is being held in the Fayette County Detention Center.
