Two people have been arrested in connection to a Wednesday afternoon bank robbery on Richmond Road in Lexington.
According to Lexington Police, a man entered the Central Bank location in the 2200 block of Richmond Road around 3:30 p.m., demanding money before fleeing to a vehicle with an undisclosed amount.
The suspect vehicle was located soon after in the 1000 block of East New Circle Road.
21-year-old Jamalachi Taylor was charged with:
- First degree robbery
- First degree fleeing or evading
- Possession of a handgun by a convicted felon
- Trafficking in controlled substance, first offense (fentanyl)
- Second degree criminal mischief
- Reckless driving
- Leaving the scene of accident - failing to render aid or assistance
18-year-old Jaycorion Dawson was charged with:
- First degree robbery
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Third degree fleeing or evading
Both are lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center.

LEX 18 on the scene reported that at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, a large police presence was seen on New Circle Road near Trade Center Drive in Lexington.
