Update: Police say 35-year-old Sheri Phillips was arrested in connection to this shooting. She has been charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Police say a man was killed in a shooting Friday night in Lexington.
It happened around 7:54 p.m. in the 700 block of Dakota Street.

When police arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The coroner identified the victim as 50-year-old Russell Houston.
