NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (LEX 18) — The Nicholasville Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday at the Valero gas station on 1000 South Main Street.

When arriving on the scene, officers discovered that a male juvenile had been shot.

The juvenile was taken to UK hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The initial investigation revealed that the juvenile and his brother were involved in an altercation with another adult male.

During the altercation, the adult male fired two shots, one of which struck the juvenile in the pelvic area.

Police later identified the adult as Marshal Siler of Nicholasville, who fled the scene.

Siler is in custody after turning himself in Saturday afternoon.
