CHRISTIAN COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police is asking for the public's help to locate an inmate who escaped from the Christian County Detention Center while on a work release assignment.
Wayne Weeks, 38, was working at the Senior Citizens Center in Hopkinsville when he escaped on Friday.
Weeks was wearing a turquoise short sleeve t-shirt, a dark blue lightweight jacket and jeans which were granted to him to wear during work release.
Weeks stands 6-feet tall, weighs approximately 260 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo of a Celtic knot on his right wrist, a Grateful Dead symbol on his right arm and Grateful Dead dancing bears on his left arm.
Weeks was serving a nine-year sentence for receiving stolen property, bail jumping and drug possession.
