LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Girl Scouts in Lexington held a Diaper Drive on Saturday.
They were collecting diapers for Phoenix Grace, which is an organization that helps drug-exposed babies and their parents on their road to recovery.
A girl scout that spoke with LEX 18 said this is a great way to give back as this experience hits close to home.
"I can relate to it personally cause I was in foster care and later adopted cause I was born as a drug baby and I can give back and help other babies that are going through the same thing as I did," said Girl Scout Madison Zimmerman.
The Girl Scouts collected donations at Sandersville Elementary until noon on Saturday.
