Scott County Sheriff hit by deputy, expected to be okay

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Scott County Sheriff Tony Hampton was hit by another deputy Tuesday afternoon.

Officials say Hampton was hit by a deputy who was backing up his cruiser, throwing Hampton six feet.

Hampton initially went to the hospital for a check-up. He is reported to be okay and home from the hospital.

The Georgetown Police Department is handling the traffic collision investigation.
