MT. VERNON, Ky. (LEX 18) — People who live in Ramsey's Trailer Park are not sleeping well. Three trailer fires in two weeks have them feeling unsafe and scared.

One fire victim described her fear, "Being scared that somebody is going to come back. You don't know what day or what hour, it's scary."

They have a right to be scared and should be," Mt. Vernon's Police Chief Brian Carter told LEX 18.

Since January 2, police said some person or persons have set fire to three different trailers on Davis Street. No one was at home or hurt from the fires, but victims lost their belongings.

LEX 18 obtained 911 calls involving the suspicious fires. One person said they saw someone run into the woods. Other neighbors reported seeing some unfamiliar vehicles in the area around the time of the fires.

The most recent fire happened Wednesday night around 6pm. With the permission of her grandmother the teenager who lives there told LEX 18 she believed someone opened a bedroom window and threw something in the house.

If you have information on any of the fires, call Mt. Vernon Police or Kentucky State Police at the London Post.
