LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Firefighters responded to a fire around 10:30 a.m. at The Axis Apartments on Nicholasville Road in Lexington.
According to officials, they began working to put out the fire in a second-story unit, which could not be entered through the front.
Officials say they have since put out the fire and cooled off the hot spots.
There were no injuries, and the unit was not occupied at the time of the fire.
The fire is under investigation, and officials are working on the electricity for the complex.
Officials say they are concerned about water damage to the below units.
