LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A lawsuit has been filed by the father of 15-year-old Neo Sanders, who was killed along with his half brother, Roan Sanders, in a car wreck nearly a year ago.

The lawsuit names Neo and Roan's mother, their maternal grandfather, Sayre School and the owner of the car, Adrian Puckett.

The lawsuit alleges the boys were at their mother's home the night they were killed. According to the lawsuit, the boys' mother "aided and assisted 18-year-old Bobby Puckett in being delivered and/or served alcoholic beverages at her home." The lawsuit states the boys were not allowed to have unsupervised visits with their mother without their grandfather present. The lawsuit goes on to allege that Neo was allowed by Sayre to bring back rum after a school sponsored trip to Cuba before the crash. The lawsuit seeks several things including punitive damages.

Puckett, the driver of the vehicle, survived and was charged with manslaughter.
