(LEX 18) — As results continue to come in, the Associated Press says President Donald Trump has won the state of Kentucky in the 2020 Presidential Election, beating out Democratic opponent Joe Biden.

As of 8:25 p.m., President Trump earned 60% of the 1.4 million votes that have been accounted for in the Bluegrass.

Biden appears to have won Fayette County in convincing fashion, garnering over 70% of the votes as of 7:30, but it doesn't appear to be enough to beat out incumbent Trump in the Bluegrass state.

As of 8:40 p.m., President Trump has also won Indiana, West Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Missouri while Biden has won Illinois Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Vermont.

LEX 18 will continue to update this story as more information comes in.
