LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Dress for Success Lexington hosted their annual Recycle the Runway fundraiser at Limestone Hall downtown Friday night.
The event asks local designers to take a bag on unwanted garments and make them runway ready.
It also included a silent auction with all the proceeds going towards Dress for Success Lexington.
The organization helps women with professional attire and a network of support to help them achieve financial independence.
"It's absolutely incredible because I am not artistic at all and being given a bag of just random ugly things and putting that together and creating something that you could see walk a runway is just really awesome," said Jessica Stigall with Dress for Success Lexington.
This event was the seventh year for the Recycle the Runway event.
