CLAY COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A Mt. Sterling man was arrested in Clay County after authorities say they found him intoxicated in a parking lot, attempting to smoke gravel.

Deputies arrested Kenelim Davidson, 52, Wednesday after receiving a complaint of an intoxicated male on South Highway 421 in Manchester. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the subject who was staggering in a parking lot trying to light and smoke a gravel he had picked up off the ground.

Officers determined the subject was manifestly under the influence of intoxicants.

Davidson was charged with public intoxication of a controlled substance. He's been lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
