West Liberty man faces child porn charges

WEST LIBERTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Kentucky State Police arrested a West Liberty man on child pornography and exploitation charges.

Authorities said 35-year-old Patton M. Blevins was arrested Tuesday after an undercover investigation by KSP's Electronic Crime Branch.

Police accused Blevins of "communicating with a juvenile online and directing the child to produce files of child sexual exploitation."

KSP searched Blevins' home and seized electronic equipment, which is being examined.

Blevins is charged with one count of promoting a minor younger that 16 in a sexual performance and 10 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.

He was being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
