LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police are investigating a shooting that took place Thursday afternoon.
Police say a shots fired call came in at around 1:26 p.m. at E. Fifth Street and Pemberton Street. One victim with a gunshot wound was transported to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time.
LEX 18 captured police investigating a scene nearby at 6th and Elm Streets where a vehicle had been located with bullet holes in it. The duty commander confirmed to LEX 18 the scenes were connected.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
