LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Multiple people were arrested on Mount Tabor in Lexington on Monday afternoon after police were called in a report of suspicious behavior in a parking lot.

The call came in around 3 p.m.

Upon the police's arrival, the people allegedly acting suspicious got in a car, drove away and crashed into two cars. The people inside the cars that were hit were not injured. Two of the men then fled into a building before coming out of after the SWAT team gave them verbal commands to come out.

The incident occurred about an hour and a half after a shooting occurred on nearby Woodhill Drive. Police say they do not believe the two incidents are related.

"We don't have anything that indicates that at this time," Lt. Ronald Keaton said about the connection to the shooting and the incident on Mount Tabor. "This was related to a call that was off Mount Tabor Rd, we got a call about some subjects acting suspicious in the area. A couple officers arrived on the scene, they saw an individual hop into the back seat of a white passenger car and they made the decision to try to stop the vehicle and the vehicle fled from the officers."
