LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington arrested a man Monday who they say caused a brief standoff on the city's south side.
Officials said police were called out about 10 p.m. to a home along Spangler Drive, not far from the Tates Creek branch of the Lexington Pubic Library.
Police said they were trying to make contact with a suspect wanted on warrants out of Fayette and Jessamine counties when the man ran into a house, where he remained for about an hour.
Authorities said he eventually was taken into custody. No one was injured, police said.
The man was taken to Fayette County Detention Center but would not face additional charges in the incident, police said.
