NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man was shot and killed Wednesday during an altercation after an apparent burglary attempt, the Nelson County Sheriff's Office said.
Police responded to a burglary call at a home on West Sandstone Court at about 9 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they found David Livers, 35, of Bardstown, with a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
During an initial investigation, police said Livers was shot during an altercation with someone inside the house after entering the residence.
