LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Lexington continue to investigate after a man was found stabbed to death over the weekend in his apartment near downtown.
Police say David Godbold was found dead about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in an apartment along Elm Tree Lane.
James Toney, a friend of Godbold, says he cannot imagine why anyone would want to hurt him.
Now he's also questioning whether he wants to live in the area, citing what he called constant crime.
"I'm not scared, but i do want to get out of the neighborhood," he said. "Police just need to clean it up it's gotten out of hand."
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the crime to call police.
