LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — A man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of 24-year-old Akeem Lyvers back in November 2020.
The Lexington Police Department announced that Raekwon Burse was apprehended on Thursday in Lexington.
Burse was served warrant for murder in the November shooting death of Lyvers.
Police say that on Friday, Nov. 20 at about 12:45 a.m. near West Main Street and Upper Street, officers were reportedly on another call in the area when they heard several gunshots. When they got to an alley near the 21c Museum Hotel building, they found Lyvers in a back parking lot. Lyvers succumbed to his injuries roughly 30 minutes later.
