Woman identified in deadly stabbing near Frankfort Police Department headquarters

FRANKFORT, Ky. (LEX 18) — A woman who was stabbed to death near the Frankfort Police Department's headquarters Tuesday morning has been identified.

Police say someone came into the station to tell them about a stabbing at the ACCESS Soup Kitchen and Men's Shelter across the street. When officers went to investigate, they arrested someone they consider a suspect in the attack.

Franklin County Coroner Will Harrod said 56-year-old Robin S. Jones died at the scene shortly after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday morning.

The incident is still being investigated by the Frankfort Police Department and the Franklin County Coroner's Office.
