BOONE COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Boone County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a reported home invasion robbery.
Investigators say just before 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee pulled up to a home on Ethan Drive in Burlington.
Four men reportedly got out, walked into the home through an unlocked garage door, and confronted the people inside.
Police said a 21-year-old man, his mother, and his 9-year-old sibling were all in the home at the time.
The victims told police that the men demanded money, ransacked the home, and stole the keys to a dark gray 2013 Dodge Charger.
During the confrontation, one shot was fired into the ceiling, and one of the victims was pistol-whipped.
Deputies said the suspects were wearing black jackets, beanies, and partial face coverings.
The stolen Charger has a license plate of 224PRY.
