LEXINGTON, Ky. (LEX 18) — Lexington police have released surveillance images of a man they would like to talk with about a vending machine burglary.

“This is one of those sad instances we’ve talked about in the past, where somebody will break in, steal out of vending machines, or we’ve seen this with laundry machines, where they’ll go in, get just a trivial amount of coins, or cash,” said Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department. “They cost thousands of dollars in damage to the owners.”

In this case, the man caught on camera did about $4,000 in damage at the non-profit Employment Solutions on Whipple Court.

“Employment Solutions is a business that employs a lot of people with special needs,” said Thomas.

No one at Employment Solutions said that they recognized the man.
