LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (LEX 18) — Police in Laurel County arrested a man on an active warrant after they said he lead deputies on a chase.

Authorities said about 2 p.m. Wednesday officers spotted 34-year-old Marlow Baker walking near the Plantation Apartments in London.

Officiers said Baker took off running toward South Laurel Middle and High Schools, before cutting into a wooded area and eventually out on Kentucky Highway 363.

Police said Baker made a passerby drive him to the Dollar Tree on Childers Drive.

From there, police said, Baker went back into a wooded area before finally being captured on Reams Lane.

Baker faces several charges, including fleeing and evading police.
