CINCINNATI (WLWT)– Crews got a strange call from dispatchers Tuesday afternoon…
“Engine 32, 46 respond, Cincinnati Zoo, 3400 Vine Street, gate number four. And what we have here is a rhino bite,” the dispatcher said.
Officials arrived at the zoo to find that 1-year-old rhinoceros Kendi had in fact bit the finger of a patron.
Kendi, the one-year-old rhino, nipped the tip of an adult male’s right index finger during a behind the scenes encounter earlier today. The guest is being treated for a minor injury and expected to be fine.

Kendi reportedly bit the tip of a man’s right index finger during a behind-the-scenes encounter.
The zoo said the man was feeding Kendi an herbivore treat when he was bitten.
“I’m happy to report that the finger was just dislocated,” a zoo spokeswoman said.
